LIBRARY  Our library is named after one of our legendary old boys Major Somnath Sharma, who was posthumously bestowed the first Param Vir Chakra in 1948 the highest gallantry award. The library has a collection of over 12,400 books. Open shelf system is maintained and cadets are free to select books that they want from the library. Books on various disciplines, viz Fiction, Psychology, Social Science, Economics, Travel, History, Science, Mathematics, Astronomy, Sports, English Literature, English Language and Hindi are in the library. Senior cadets are also encouraged to buy their own newspapers. The College subscribes to various Indian and foreign magazines/journals in addition to all the important daily newspapers. It also has some rare and priceless manuscripts. Softly lit, separate alcoves for browsing and reading to enrich young minds in a relaxed environment play a pivotal role in the academic life of the cadets. COMPUTER CENTRE RIMC, though an old institution steeped in tradition, yet does not lag behind in this age of Information Technology. Two labs equipped with the latest hardware and software provides ample opportunity for learning and developing computer skills. A new hi-tech state of the art computer centre further augments the facilities. Computer student ratios of  1:2 is maintained at RIMC. INTERNET (CYBER CAFE) We are proud of our reputation based on our ability to anticipate and incorporate emerging technologies and improve work practice to ensure that students are trained to meet the highest and latest technology standards. RIMC believes in providing extensive global exposure and linkage for its students and faculty members via the Internet, which enables them to be constantly updated with the current trends in information technology. Each cadet at RIMC maintains contact with his parents through the Internet. CSD

The cadets have been extended the facilities of Canteen Stores Department (CSD) where most of the items of daily need are available on payment at subsidized rates. The CSD canteen is run and maintained by RIMC. It has attractive ROBA items at a reasonable cost. Individuals keen can buy them. STD BOOTH

The STD booth is meant exclusively for the cadets. It meets the requirement of the Cadets after evening games. It provides snacks and items of necessity.It gives cadets the facility to talk to their near and dear ones by providing 3 phones fully functional.   CAFE

An extension counter of SBI located on the campus opens five times a week. Each cadet maintains a joint account in this bank. The cadet and his section master operate it. A strict control is maintained on the transaction of this account. MEDICAL

A 15 bedded College Hospital, which has the service of a resident doctor, supported by a matron and a compounder to look after the children. Regular medical check-up of all cadets is carried out during a term. Cases, which require specialist medical care, are referred to the Military Hospital, Dehradun where every specialist facility is available. At present Dr. Sunanda Kalra is supervising the CH. She is a very qualified paediatrician.
